There are situations when you need to copy or move multiple files or folders from one location to another, and starting multiple processes of this kind might cause your system to freeze or even crash. Ultracopier offers an alternative solution for this kind of data transfers. At first I was sceptical, but I quickly came to appreciate this program, as it offers a lot of copy management options.
Ultracopier doesn’t come with an actual graphical user interface. In order to set up a transfer, you need to access its system tray agent. This can be simply done by selecting the files or folders that you need to copy or move, and afterward the destination folder. In this manner, you are allowed to create multiple tasks and efficiently keep track of them. A very useful option that I liked is the program’s ability to pause or resume the transferring process whenever you wish.
This version of Ultracopier comes with performance enhancements, especially for small-sized files. Also, in order to prevent errors from occurring, Ultracopier allows you to set various renaming rules and apply different filters as well. In addition to this, the improved checksum algorithm will ensure that all your files are copied or moved successfully.
Take all these facts, add that Ultracopier is open source, and you will get to love this application.
